Hello again. Things are going well here. Lots has been happening, and yet at the same time, things have been moving somewhat slowly!
We've had some strange weather. It snowed the first week or so and now it is in the high 70's and low 80's. I feel like I have not had a proper winter yet, I don't know if I mind though. In fact, because the weather is so nice we often move our common room furniture out on the grass to enjoy the sun.
I've been spending a lot of time with friends, in their rooms and in mine. Listening to music and having jolly times. Izzy is learning the violin!
I've been getting some really lovely things in the mail recently! I got some belated birthday gifts from dad including tights, a scarf an awesome camera lens mug and a digital tilt shift camera! I've been playing around with the camera, but I wish I had more buildings to experiment with. I also bought myself a little mug for tea in the morning.
Since my friends Izzy, Morgana, Marina and I don't have class on Wednesdays after 12 we have started a new tradition called Adventure Wednesdays. Each Wednesday we go to different places and explore Vermont in general. The first week we went to Manchester to the bookstore and had tea and coffee. Last week we visited Hoosick (which is actually New York) and went to the "Big Moose Cafe." We had planed on visiting my favorite book barn, but it was closed. We ended up having some great pie and it all felt very Twin Peaks.
We went out to a really fantastic dinner the other night. Morgana, Marina, Izzy, Sara and her boyfriend Noah, who goes to NYU but was visiting for the weekend. It was so much fun to see Noah again, I spent a lot of time with him when Sara and I were in the city. We went to this great restaurant, the food was delicious. Plus we have a friend who works in the kitchen who got us free desserts! It was amazing.
This weeks Coffee Hour theme was Disney related. Since I haven't seen, or really been drawn to many of the traditional Disney films I decided to go as my favorite Pixar character, which is technically Disney. I went as Woody from Toy Story! My roommate Claire went as Jessie from the second film, so we were very matching! It was so much fun! Maddie Julia (who are roommates) went as Snow White and a Dwarf. Maddie was hysterical as the dwarf, she did what Ventana and I used to do as kids and put her shoes on her knees. Izzy went as Alice.
