The Three Kings Play

Every year for since third grade I have gone to see the 12th grade put on their rendition of the Three Kings play. This year it was finally our turn. Now I should give some background on the play, it is part of a series that is tradition at Waldorf schools. It is not a normal play, but it is very Waldorf. In either case, it was fun putting on costumes and taking on parts that I had seen ever since I was little. The play is cast by the class, Hannah and I played king Herod's servants. We spent several weeks putting it together and learning the songs. It was quite fun.

Christmas 2010

I know that I have become very behind in my blogging, but I intend to change that from now on. I shall begin with a Christmas post. According to tradition, I headed over to the Neuhart's for a lovely morning of laughter, gifts and, of course, delicious food. I got a macro lens and thus began experimenting on all the plants around the house. I also spent lots of time with my favorite curious cat, Roberto. All in all it was a marvelous time, and it was a joy getting to spend time with everyone.

New York Trip part 2

Day 4:

We left Ricks house and headed back to New York City where we would stay for the rest of the trip. We visited NYU, which I really did not like due to the size and lack of campus. We decided to walk around Soho where we discovered this wonderful Indian restaurant where I got a great sandwich and mango and cucumber juice. We found some great shops and visited Dean and Deluca.

Day 5:

I think this was my favorite day in the city! It was so much fun! We visited the library, with mom's friend Beth. We went to Bergdorf Goodman and had tea, and deviled eggs. Next we walked around a bit, and visited Central Park. We got gelato and then headed over to an art opening. It was a really wonderful day, I had such a blast.

Day 6:

We visited Sarah Lawrence, which was our last college to visit. I liked the school, the campus was pretty and the classes seemed interesting. Their study abroad program to London sounds amazing. Next mom and I went to Brooklyn and got some AMAZING pizza at Grimaldi's. We wondered about then met Greg in Soho to go to dinner. On the way we visited Pearl art supplies and found a wonderful bakery called "Birdcage."

Day 7:

First we took another visit to Central Park. It was a gorgeous day, the park was amazing. Next mom and I visited the Met and got to see so many wonderful exhibits. I saw many of my favorite paintings, which were even better up close. Later we visited a store called "Eataly" which had all Italian imported food. We got some ravioli for dinner. It was a really cool place.

Day 8:

This was our last day of our trip. There were so many things we wanted to do and so little time. We decided to visit the Natural History Museum which was really fun. Mom and I headed to Barneys so she could meet with the head of perfume there. An hour later we were in the airport, on our way home.

It was a really great trip! I had such a good time and learned and saw a lot!
