Long Weekend

For long weekend this year I decided to stay at school with Izzy, Morgana and Sophie. On Friday we went to Goodwill and although we didn't do much besides that, it was a nice day.
On Saturday Izzy, Morgana, and I went on a really lovely drive into the country. We visited a co-op in Cambridge, NY, and saw some lovely foliage.
On Sunday we visited the bookstore Dog Ears and took a hike in the Memorial Pines. It was gorgeous. The entire forest was golden yellow, it was remarkable.
Overall it was nice to have some free time to relax, watch movies, and see friends.

New York New York

For Sara's birthday, Izzy, Morgana, Nick, Becca and I went up to New York City and stayed in her apartment for the weekend. We drove up Friday evening and got to see some lovely foliage on the way! That night we had a good time hanging out with Noah and then Morgana and I went sleep early. Izzy visited her friend at Sarah Lawrence.
The next morning we had breakfast at a yummy little bagel place and met up with Izzy and Marina! We then headed over to the East Village.
Next we met up with Nick and Becca and headed over to the Natural History Museum to see a Bioluminescence exhibit! It was really cool. Izzy and I had a blast looking at the animal dioramas.
We went home and took a little nap.
Later we went out to dinner at a delicious restaurant called "Better Burger". It was so yummy. I had one of the best butternut squash raviolis I have ever had.
Afterwards everyone went back to the apartment. Izzy and I went to go see the movie, the Master, which we loved. It was fantastic!
The next morning we went to Nick and Toni's, Sara's mom's restaurant, for her birthday brunch. It was really yummy! Vanessa Redgrave was sitting at the table next to us!
We said bye to Marina and Noah and headed back to school. It was a really fun weekend!

Our room has been looking especially nice with the addition of some lovely "teddy-bear" sunflowers! They were wonderful and brightened the room up so much.
