Rooms

I wanted to do a post about rooms here on campus. It's always fun to see how people decorate them and whatnot!

My room:

Julia and I have decorated it really wonderfully. It feels really homey and comfortable and it smells nice too!


Izzy and Morgana:
I love their room! Its fun and colorful and perfectly expresses both of their personalities. Izzy has her photographs and cut outs and Morgana her embroidery and moon and plant diagrams. It's a wonderful room!

Walker:

His room has gone through many phases and only now feels like its right. He has all of his records and some posters of his favorites like Nico, Brian Eno and James Joyce. It's a nice room to hang out in!  

 Kyle:

Kyle's room was a bit of a disaster until Miya, Walker and I decided to totally re-do it. It used to be really plan and dull and a little creepy. So we moved everything around and put some stuff on the walls and now its great! He has a really awesome chair by the window that's perfect for reading.

Rory:

Rory lives in an upstairs quad which consists of four very small singles. His room is very him. He has posters from past events on the walls and its simple, yet expresses his personality.

I'll try and do more throughout the term if the opportunity arises.

Returns

Here I am, back at Bennington. Everything is going pretty well. Classes have begun, and are going wonderfully. It's great to see friends again, I really missed them this summer. It's also just nice to be back on campus and be back in the swing on things.

Izzy and I flew together, as usual. It was a bit of a trying trip involving three flights and over 12 hours of traveling. We stayed with Sara, Noah and Morgana in the city that night and left the next morning.

Organizing the room is always a challenge. Thankfully my lovely roommate Julia and I have similar taste is decorations so our room looks really lovely now. Walker let me use his Welsh flag on the wall which I really love and I put my postcards up as well.

It's fun seeing and spending time in other people's rooms. Izzy and Morgana have a really wonderful setup with Morgana's amazing embroidery and Izzy's photographs. Kyle's is simple, yet fits his personality and Walker's is filled with books and records.

The weather has been pretty nice so far so we've been spending lots of time on the lawn. It's been wonderful to see everyone. Sara and Morgana's friend from home, Cian, transferred to Bennington. It's been nice getting to know him!

We've made a few little excercisions out and about. To some thrift stores and to a few restaurants.

 

 Izzy, Nick and I auditioned for the school plays and sadly none of us got in. We did however have a great time hanging out before and after. The sunset that day was really amazing, filled with this vibrant pink.

 We had a little celebration for Morgana's birthday as well, but my camera battery died.

 Bingham, the house I live in, doesn't do Coffee Hours in the same manner as Sawtell did. But this week we did dress up as other people from the house. Rachel (my first roommate) went as me, and I her.
