New York Part 1

Every year Bennington College students have to complete what is called a Field Work Term in which they intern or work somewhere associated with their field of study. This year I got an internship in New York City at a theater called the Metropolitan Playhouse.
I lived in two different places over FWT. The first was with Izzy in a little apartment in Bushwick in Brooklyn. It wasn't ideal living, but it ended up being fun. We had a really cool roommate named Charlotte who goes to SVA.
I didn't get to do much exploring while I was in Bushwick, but I got to know the East Village, where my job was, really well.
I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art a lot during my spare time. It seems there's always more to see.
Marina lives in New York so it was nice to be able to see her while we were in town. We went out to a lot of great dinners while in New York.
I found a neat old cathedral up the Upper West side one day. Apparently it is one of the largest cathedrals of its kind in America.
Sara threw me a birthday party the night before my 20th birthday! It was nice to see all my friends that were in the city.
We all slept over at Sara's and then, on my birthday we went out to breakfast then back to Walker and Kyle's. We visited the Brooklyn Botanical gardens which was lovely. I had the best day!
