Last Week of Classes

I am now officially done with my first year of college. I'm here for a few more days for graduation and then, on Saturday I'll be heading home.

I went on a little picnic in the woods the other day, which was really lovely! The forest is so beautiful!

Over the last few weeks I've been acting in a student film called Harlots From Venus. We finished filming and the screening of the film was on Monday night. It was really fun, but I can't say I love watching myself on film. Here's the trailer:

We've been having the strangest weather, and with it has come some really beautiful and unusual bugs!

Finals, finals, finals. The last few days have been a nightmare in terms of studying and work. I had a bunch of big finals, as did everyone. No matter where you went you'd see people with books and papers, looking tired.

Yesterday was a tornado warning! It was really crazy! During the day we had 89 degree, super humid, weather and then around 5 clouds rolled in, the wind came bursting though the trees and the sky turned green. Then torrential rain arrived and lightning. It was insane! I wish I had gotten pictures!

 Now its time to relax, pack and spend time with friends. I'll be home soon.

Summer Days

The lovely summer weather has infected everyone and everything here. Anywhere you go people are lounging on the grass, reading and doing work outside.

I've been hanging out with friends a lot, since I won't be seeing them for a few months, I'm spending as much time with them now as possible.




Sawtell had a barbeque last Friday evening. We all sat about and ate and had an overall great time! It was lovely. 

Sunfest

This was a pretty nice week. It had some exciting events as well as good classes. My only complaint is that things have been kind of busy.
On Friday I spent some time with Izzy, Marina, Morgana and Sophie. We hung out and talked and had a lovely time.

 On Saturday morning some people made everyone in the house pancakes! It was really fun and yummy...

 

 This Saturday was Sunfest, which is a big music festival, event that happens at Bennington once a year. It has been talked up for so long that I suppose I was expecting something so much more spectacular than actually possible. Everyone laid about on the lawn listening to the music and having a good time. Marina's friend from Sarah Lawrence came to visit as did Noah, Sara's boyfriend. It was lovely to spend the whole day relaxing in the sun, but I can't say it was as exciting as people talked it up to be.

Later that night a big brace band played on the lawn under the moon! It was really wonderful!
