Summer Part 2

These past few weeks have been going much faster than the first part of the summer! So much has been going on!
Marina and her friend Maddy came to visit which was really wonderful! We went to the beach, but it was raining. It was really lovely to see them!
I hung out with Levi and Elizabeth one day which was super. We went swimming, ate delicious Chinese food and watched Lost in Translation. It was great!
I've been spending loads of time with Kyle. We've been reading together and going on adventures. Its been great!
Joey Weitz and Wyatt through a kind of music festival at Joey's house. It was fun to see everyone and listen to Joey's new band. Photos by Heather and I.
My and I had a bit of a sewing adventure. We made tailored blouses! I loved the sunflower pattern and I'm very happy with my new shirt!
One really exciting thing that happened this past week was the arrival of Rookie Magazine in LA. Rookie is an online magazine which My and I read so it was really exciting to have them here and hosting a bunch of events. The first was the opening party! My and I dressed very 60's. We got to meet the whole gang, Tavi, Petra, Anna and Hazel. It was really amazing to meet Tavi because I've been reading her blog for so many years now. It's really unbelievable what she's accomplished. I made little watercolor portraits of them all, and they all loved them! It was really a blast!

The other event we went to was the flower crown making party! It was really fun although they ran out of flowers and headbands pretty quickly! My and I made a new friend named Justine who was really cool! She made a little flower bracelet with a cute sheep on it!
Mom, Dad and I made some homemade pizza the other night which was really yummy!

Izzy, her friend Kendall, and I went on a really beautiful hike in the Angeles Crest Forest the other day! It was so pretty!! We met up with Kyle later and played some rounds of speed scrabble!
On Wednesday my boyfriend, Walker, who's on tour with his band, came into tour for a few days. They all stayed with Kyle and we all had such fun. We went to a bunch of record stores, saw them play and had some fun with Kyle's dogs. It was such a wonderful few days.
