Every summer Joey Weitz rents a beach house in Oxnard and every year I'm never able to go stay with them. This year I finally made it up there with Elizabeth and Claudia. It was great to spend the whole day on the beach and with friends.
It's almost become tradition that Elizabeth, My, Ventana and I have a hair coloring party every summer. It's fun to use the non permanent dyes because it gives such fun color, but doesn't last very long. Three of us dyed the ends of our hair and Elizabeth decided to do her whole head!
One day I went over to Elizabeth's house and we decided to go hiking in the mountains near her house. We had a great time exploring hidden spots in the hills.
I got to go to the beach with Ventana and Lily, which was super fun since I haven't seen Lily in ages!
I saw Zola and her sister Sylvie at her art show at Otis which was good to see.
As an end of the summer little get together, Elizabeth had a bunch of us over for yummy food and games, and just a great time. It was really fun. We played lots of Clue and ate lots of great food.
Martha, mom and I went to the Flea Market last Sunday. It was super hot so we didn't stay for too long, but it was nice to get out and see the cool antiques and clothes.
I took Claudia and My to the Iliad bookstore, which they loved. We found so many great books. For moms birthday, we went to the Getty and met up with Michael, Mary and Beth. It was really good to see them and walk around the beautiful museum.
Yesterday (Saturday the 18th) was National Bee Awareness Day so mom had a booth at a bee event. I helped her out at the booth.
There was an art show at night put on by some Bennington students, here in LA. There were so many people from school there and it was nice to see them. I went with Izzy and Kyle and we had lots of fun together.
I only have two weeks of summer left and while I'm sad that I'll have to say goodbye to my friends, I'm also excited to get back to school.
