Spring in the Hamptons

We had our Spring Break (or Long Weekend as they call it here) last week. We had five days off, which isn't a super long time, but it was still nice to have time off. I had been planning on visiting the estate of a friend of mine in upstate New York, but those plans fell through. I decided to go to the Hamptons to stay with my friends Sara and Morgana.

Day 1:
Izzy, Morgana, Marina and I drove up on Wednesday. Although the drive is 4 to 5 hours long, we managed to have a great time listening to music and talking. We stopped at a little diner in town for breakfast, which was really yummy! On our way we past by an old abandoned farm and decided to stop and explore it. It was really cool, but also really creepy. There were all of these old toys and shoes lying around and it looked as though there had been a fire. There were also these two big trucks, one of which looked just like Leo Johnson's truck in Twin Peaks which made things even scarier.

We arrived at Morgana's house which is so cute and lovely! It's right by the water and is so cozy! We lazed about and played Guitar Hero, although I was horrid at it.

We then went to Sara's house where we had an amazing diner made by her mom Toni. Sara's house is unbelievable! It's so big and well decorated, I loved it. I took pictures of her house throughout the trip, but I'm putting them all here so you can see the house all together.

We took lots of Polaroids and I stayed with Sara that night.

Day 2:
I spent the next day with Sara and her friends Olivia and Ji Eun. We went to gym and ate at this great little place called Provisions. We also had diner at Sara's mom's restaurant Nick and Toni's which is such a wonderful place. I had the most delicious goat cheese tortellini!

Day 3:
The next day I met up with Izzy, Morgana and Marina. We ate at this yummy place called Hampton Curry. It was really great. We then went to Montock to take a little hike which was beautiful!

We went to another beach and flew our kite and had lots of fun in the sun. We found a whole bunch of dead crabs and made an art piece. It was a blast. We got milkshakes and then went to see Hunger Games (which I want to do a movie review to soon).

Then Morgana showed us this crazy spot in the middle of the woods she found with some friends a while back. We all went back to Morgana's house and talked while we fell asleep. Unfortunately we had all gotten a bunch of ticks from when we were at the beach. Thankfully we got all them off in the end.

Day 4:
We had a delicious breakfast made by Morgana's mom: corn-meal waffles with raspberry sauce! Yumm! We then went to a cafe to get some work done, which wasn't super effective... Then we went to the beach with our friend Kian. Morgana's friend Oskar showed up which was fun. We had a lovely time. We had another delicious meal cooked by Morgana's mom. It was goat cheese and butternut squash risotto and salad. It was wonderful!

Sara had a party at her house that night which we all went to. I was nice to see all of her friends and her boyfrien Noah, who I really love hanging out with. Sara's house is right on the beach so Oskar, Marina, Morgana, Noah, Izzy and I went to the beach.

Day 5:
We left to drive back around 11. It was a gorgeous day, so it was a bit of a bummer to be in the car for so long. Inspite of this, we had a good time. Marina and Sara went to NYC for the day, so it was just Morgana, Izzy and I.

Now I'm back and it's right back to work. Hopefully I'll have a little bit more time this half of the term.
